IVF with egg donation

IVF with egg donation

Building families through Near East University Hospital IVF center is relatively easy for international intended parents in Northern Cyprus. It is only necessary to come to Northern Cyprus once. Egg donation at Near East University Hospital IVF center can make your dream of having children a reality.

The use of donated eggs can lead to successful pregnancies for women with premature ovarian failure. This is also an option for younger women with premature menopause and women in the older reproductive age group.

Further, women with chromosomal translocations or genetic diseases, who wish to avoid passing on the diseases to their offspring, now have a chance in being a parent.

Finding an egg donor can be overwhelming but it is very sample with us. At our center, we only undertake anonymous (unknown) egg donor for fertility treatments.

We provide secured, confidential and online access for your comfort. We can tailor your search by age, physical characteristics, ethnic background, education, donation history and more. There is donor anonymity law up to the local regulations but we can share the information which doesn’t reveal the identity of the donor.

Our egg donors undergo comprehensive selection process in order to be accepted to the program and meet international criteria :

  • Be between the ages of 21 and 29 years old (most of them are 21 – 29)
  • Have a healthy BMI
  • Be in good health ( both physically and emotionally)
  • Have regular menstrual cycles
  • No drug/alcohol use
  • No history of mental illness
  • No criminal background
  • Having family support
  • Be willing to undergo psychological and medical assessments
  • Be willing to follow doctor recommendations
  • Be willing to take medications and undergo medical procedures
  • Be willing to attend appointments

Once an egg donor is identified, we will assess the suitability of the donor. The donor will undergo a range of infection and genetic screenings. These are based on the HFEA good medical practice guidance and under the regulation of local Ministry of Health.

Then, the donor and the recipient cycles will be synchronised and coordinated. The donor will then use fertility drugs to stimulate the development of multiple mature eggs. The recipient woman will take oestrogen and progesterone to prepare the uterus for embryos derived through egg donation.

We can then use the sperm of the recipient’s partner (or a sperm donor) to fertilise the eggs using either an IVF or ICSI technique. We’ll then replace the created embryo(s) into the egg recipient three to five days later. A pregnancy test will be taken twelve days after the replacement.
